Adelphi Hotel originally opened in 1993 in a converted 1938 warehouse as Melbourne's first boutique-slash-design hotel. It got a thorough make-over in 2014 and opened as the world's first dessert-themed hotel. Thanks to design guru Fady Hachem, the interiors feature rich, chocolate-toned furnishings, carpets patterned like cakes, “licorice allsorts” stools, and the smell of baking in the air. The building’s signature warehouse style by architects Denton Corker Marshall with metal windows and a concrete façade has been maintained.

Hotel Adelphia is situated in Melbourne's CBD, in the heart of the vibrant Flinders Lane shopping and dining precinct. Flinders Street Station and Federation Square are both a 5-minute walk.

The Om Nom Restaurant offers a tempting à la carte menu and -ofcourse- an emphasis on desserts. The bar serves a wide selection of wine, beer and cocktails.

Room facilities include air conditioning, an iPod dock, flat-screen TV with free movie channels, complimentary soft drinks and snacks minibar, work desk, safe and free local phone calls. Private bathrooms come with bathrobes and a hairdryer.

The rooftop lap pool, of which the transparent bottom extends out over the street below -is fine for watching the pedestrians as you swim, as long as you’re comfortable with them watching you.
