Next to the 12th-century castle ruins of Ladis, Tyrol is the 21st-century Refugio Laudegg. The cutting-edge, modern architecture of this small design hotel is distributed between several wooden buidings on different levels. Minimalist, warm interiors use plenty of local wood and large windows take in the Alpine scenery. There is a sauna, and hiking in summer and skiing in winter can be enjoyed. Breakfast and dinner are available at the traditional Rauthof inn next door.
