Hôtel de Tourrel is a luxury design hotel set in a 17th-century palace in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The owners (also the designers) spent extensive time researching historic techniques to restore the original manor. After having accidentally discovered stucco under peels of paint, they hired a professional team of conservators who took 13 weeks to uncover it.
The seven spacious suites feature original details combined with midcentury and contemporary furniture by the likes of Eileen Gray and Konstantin Grcic. Room facilities include a satellite flat-screen TV, a safe, a minibar, air conditioning and a bathroom with bathrobes and a hairdryer.
The hotel has a restaurant and a bar/wine boutique where rare wines can be sampled, not only from the region's 34 wine appellations but also from Spain, Italy and Germany. In the courtyard an inviting swimming pool and sun terrace awaits.
