Chicago Athletic Association Hotel
The hip Chicago Athletic Association Hotel is set in a former Venetian Gothic landmark building from 1893. The location is excellent: the front of the hotel on Chicago's Cultural Mile and the back to The Loop. Docent-led tours of the iconic building are scheduled regularly in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
Rooms have details referring to its former life with pommel horse-inspired benches and boxer-style bathrobes. Room facilities include bespoke linen and blankets, a flat-screen cable TV, a curated minibar and a bathrooms in Carrara marble with rain showerheads. 24-hour in-room dining.
There are no less than six drinking and eating venues at the hotel, including a rooftop restaurant and bar, a farm-to-table restaurant, speakeasy micro-bar and a billiards room.
