Desert Hot Springs
A modernist dream, the 1947 built Hotel Lautner is located in the more quiet Desert Hot Springs, some 20 minutes' drive from Palm Springs. Named after its architect the hotel boasts four villas and nothing much else: there is no restaurant and no lobby. There is an outdoor swimming pool and courtyard garden. Villas have every imaginable comfort, including a fully equipped kitchen and private patio with cactus garden.
