A spectacular wine resort, L'AND blends 21st-century design with the deep-rooted wine growing traditions of the Alentejo. An impressive winery, an organic spa, a regionally-inspired restaurant and attentive service all add to the resort’s undeniable uniqueness.

I visit quite some fine hotels each year and many are to my liking. But once in a while you come along a real gem, like the L\'AND Vineyards Resort. The spectacular architecture, very stylish interiors, the setting in a working vineyard (great wine!) and excellent service all add to its country flavour, just under an hour from Lisbon in Portugal\'s Alentejo region. It is a suites-only resort, everything being very spacious. The L\'AND suite I stayed in had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two patios, a garden terrace with outside bath and shower. The bio toiletries were heaven and the suite also came with an iPad. There\'s a complimentary glass of L\'AND wine in the evening and I do advise to have dinner here, really wonderful in a very elegant, contemporary setting. Really enjoyed the breakfast too, which is served at the table so finally once not queing at a buffet. The whole place has a luxury, but casual feel to it. Including the exccellent staff, who go out of their way for you but at the other side are relaxed and unstuffy. If you are travelling in Portugal a must-visit stop. If you are in Lisbon, definitely take the 1 hour trip to indulge.

A beautifull, tucked-away resort + winery. Very spacious comfortable rooms & suites, well decorated and fully equiped. The whole resort has a shimmering white exterior with modern serene interiors with dark wood, leather, natural materials, slate. The restaurant serves delicious local specialities and their L\'AND red wine is a God-sent-treat. The spa is just fine. Just a \'pity\' that the ( artificial ) lake is a bit small for wind-driven watersports ;-) The personnel is refreshingly (!) \'unprofessional\' and very friendly.
