People travel the world to stay at the unique Treehotel in Northern Sweden. There are seven architecturally interesting tree houses, amongst others, a UFO, a bird’s nest and a mirrored cube. All are minimalist decorated and come with eco-friendly waste systems, and simple pine clad walls and floors. There is a small clearing above the tree houses from which the Northern lights can be seen well on a clear night. Only Number 7 has a shower, the other houses can use the showers at the property's two saunas and hot tub.
Home cooked meals are served in the vintage Pensionat building (where check-in also takes place), a 10-minute walk through the forest. Classic Swedish massages are available on request.
Treehotel is located in the village of Harads, approximately 60 km south of the Arctic Circle, and one hour drive from Luleå airport. Reindeers with their Sámi herders and the Arctic Circle are easy day trips away and the hotel is well placed for fishing in summer or ice fishing in winter with the wide Lule River a few minutes away.
