SO/ Berlin Das Stue
SO/ Berlin Das Stue is a five star design hotel set in the former Danish Embassy. It is located in Berlin's Embassy Quarter and overlooks the Zoogarten. The modernist façade in stone from the 1930's is by German architect Johann Emil Schaudt who was inspired by Danish classicism and has been expanded with a new wing clad in floral-patterned concrete. Stue means living room in Danish.
The sophisticated and spacious rooms and suites have high ceilings and hardwood floors and offer flat-screen TVs, rainfall showerheads, minibars and Nespresso machines. Most rooms have views of the animals in the Berlin Zoo or the leafy Tiergarten park, some have balconies.
There is a classy lobby and cocktail bar. Michelin-starred Catalan chef Paco Pérez helms Das Stue’s own Michelin-starred eatery "5 Cinco", serving avant-garde Mediterranean cuisine combined with local accents.
There's also an indoor pool, a sauna and a spa, plus a gym.
